Guinea-Bissau 2026
After collaborating with various organizations for 3 years, Casa de Vida birth center is set to open in October. We have been honored to contribute to the planning of this center and the training of the midwifery students. Volunteers from First Breath International will be on-site to mentor the emerging midwifery students, assist with operational logistics, and provide sanitary birth kits and supplies. We cannot wait to help welcome the first 70 babies at this dedicated birth center!
Our Work in Ethiopia
We love the country and people of Ethiopia! We began our visits in 2014, providing medicine and care in the rural village of Ararity, and we've been back five more times since then! Our trip itineraries have included international midwifery training, improving birth outcomes through training doulas, food distribution, pop-up clinics, baby checkups at orphanages, childbirth education, prayer, and evangelism. We are also passionate about distributing sanitary birth kits to help mothers during childbirth. Our times in Ethiopia are very dear to our hearts! Birth Kits
We have delivered more than 1500 sanitary birth kits around the world, significantly improving birth outcomes. Each kit contains essential items that reduce the risk of infections and hemorrhage associated with birth, and the included illustrated instructions are designed to overcome literacy and language barriers.
